Eznet to Sponsor Canada SCORES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Eznet announced as an Official Partner of Canada SCORES.

Toronto, ON - July 25, 2024 - Canada SCORES is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Eznet, a Canadian manufacturer of portable soccer nets that has distributed nets to over 25 countries worldwide and is recognized by insurance industry authorities, school boards, clubs and families as a uniquely, wholly safe child-friendly design.

2024 sees Canada SCORES celebrate an important 10-year milestone as the Canada SCORES Vancouver affiliate officially launched their FREE after-school programs in the lower mainland of BC in 2014 and the organization has recently launched an expansion affiliate in the Greater Toronto Area under the banner of Canada SCORES Toronto that will deliver programming in the Durham Region for the first time this coming Fall.

With so much excitement around the expansion and future growth opportunities to deliver greater impact to vulnerable children across more regions of Canada, this partnership with Eznet will ensure that Canada SCORES programs continue to provide safe and nurturing environments for our “Poet-Athletes” when participating in the soccer curriculum of our three-part program that also includes a literacy component through Poetry and a community service learning segment.

Speaking on the new partnership with Eznet, Canada SCORES Toronto Executive Director Nick Taylor said, “One of the first partnerships calls I made in January when we launched was to Tom Stewart, the engaging inventor of Eznet, who was previously known to me through my work at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Princess Margaret’s Guiness World Record holding Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer Event has used the same 62 donated Eznets for 12 years without replacement and Eznet is recognized as a Founding Partner. I knew Tom to be one of the kindest men, with a heart of gold, and a great product! We reconnected and instantly knew that his line of 5x7 portable soccer nets would be ideal for the children in our programs to set up easily and to play safely.”

At the inaugural SCORES Cup Toronto corporate soccer tournament Presented by Tourism Vaughan on July 28th, Eznet will be on hand to let participants and spectators see first-hand how easy it is to set up and take down an Eznet, while any children and youth amongst the spectators can spend some time taking shots on Eznet, whose trademark is “Every Child Should Have a Goal”.

Stewart acknowledged the partnership saying, “I am thrilled to welcome Canada SCORES to Eznet’s quality Partnership team, including Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer, Hometown Hockey with Ron MacLean, Allstate Insurance, London Catholic School Board, Homeless World Cup Team Training, CAF and University of Manitoba. Partnership is about sharing philosophies and working toward similar goals, with integrity the mainstay. Canada SCORES education-based programming exudes this at every level. Learning how Canada SCORES truly helps children was inspiring. I am excited to see the children benefit from their great work.
